Qurbani, or Udhiyah, is the sacred act of sacrificing an animal during the days of Eid al-Adha in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) devotion and obedience to Allah (SWT). It is a meaningful way for Muslims to express gratitude, share blessings, and support those less fortunate. The meat from the sacrifice is distributed among the poor, ensuring they too can partake in the joy and nourishment of Eid.
In many parts of the world, particularly in underprivileged areas, families rarely have access to fresh meat. For them, Qurbani is more than a tradition — it’s a vital source of nutrition and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
